PROCOR Internal Cleansing, Rogue Cops Charged and Reassigned

After the halt of the anti-illegal drugs operations nationwide, the PNP focused on intensifying its "internal cleansing” to weed out rogue policemen and scalawags in uniform and PROCOR is underway on war against its scalawags.

Initially, PROCOR has conducted a mandatory drug test to all its personnel before the implementation of the Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign-Double Barrel Alpha with negative result, however, 9 police personnel who were involved in Illegal Drugs were relieved and reassigned to PRO-ARMM.

At present, 8 PNP personnel are being validated for derogatory information for various offenses.

During the declaration of the five provinces as drug cleared, the Regional Crime Laboratory Office conducted instant drug test to the PNP personnel which resulted negative which proves that PROCOR police force adheres to the directives of the PNP.

PROCOR Leadership will be “ruthless and unforgiving” against policemen who will be found tarnishing the image of the PNP. “We will continue conducting punitive and corrective measures against erring personnel to ensure accountability among PNP personnel and eradicate all scalawags in the organization”, he added.

As per record, 125 personnel charged with administrative cases: 24 Police Commissioned Officers (PCO); 75 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO) and 26 Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP). Out of the 125 personnel: 38 were exonerated; 35 were reassigned; 18 dropped from rolls; 11 suspended; 8 were reprimanded; 5 were terminated while 3 were dismissed from the police service; 4 FTP’s were turned back to PSFTP; and 3 were demoted, fined and privileges withheld.

PROCOR assures the public that it will implement a reinforced internal cleansing strategy to neutralize rogue PNP personnel and to proactively preempt other PNP personnel from committing unlawful acts.

Nonetheless, PROCOR also encourages the public to report any errant PNP personnel to the police by way of providing relevant and timely information their nearest police station and hopes for the continuous trust and support to the police force.
