As the result of the continuous anti-illegal drug operations in the Cordillera Region, 12 drug personalities were arrested while Php 115,192,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were destroyed in a weeklong operation conducted by PROCOR Cops on July 24-30, 2022.

Citing the records from the PROCOR’s Regional Operations Division (ROD), for the week, Baguio CPO recorded the highest number of arrests with 10 arrested drug personalities followed by Abra PPO and Benguet PPO with one (1) arrested drug personality each.

In Baguio City, the arrested personalities were identified as David Bitao, 49; Jefferson Abor, 44; Marco Muleta, 29; Gerry Vic Bautista, 47; Albert Espiritu, 39; Johnson Segundo, 32; Edgar Zuñiga, 34; Darwin Dariano, 48; Jose Casauay, 42; and a 16-year-old male minor.

In Abra and Benguet, the arrested personalities were identified as Clarence Bona, 28 and Modesto Licudan, 59, respectively.

The separate anti-illegal drugs operation conducted resulted in the seizure of a total of 18.32 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price (SDP) amounting to Php 124,576.00 and the confiscation of a total of 0.10 grams of marijuana leaves with an SDP of Php 12.00.

All arrested suspects are now facing charges for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, the continuous marijuana eradication operations being conducted by PROCOR have resulted in the destruction of a total of 573,000 fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) with an SDP of Php 114,600,000.00 in Kalinga.

While in another operation in Benguet, a total of 2,960 FGMJP with an SDP of Php 592,000.00 were destroyed by PROCOR operatives. (PROCOR-PIO)
