PROCOR CAMP BADO DANGWA: Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) police will not let its guard down despite not having monitored any threat that can disrupt the commemoration of All Saints’ and Souls’ Day.
PROCOR Regional Director PCSUPT Elmo Francis Oco Sarona together with his staff, conducted security preparedness and inspection of the cemeteries and bus terminals in Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet, where thousands of travelers are expected during this long “Undas” weekend.
Cemeteries visited in Baguio City are the Baguio Public Cemetery, Baguio Memorial Cemetery at Naguilian Road, Heaven’s Garden Memorial Park and Everlasting/Pyramid Cemetery at Kias, Baguio City and also visited the Buyagan Pyramid Cemetery at La Trinidad, Benguet. Likewise, they also inspected all major transportation hubs and big commercial centers to ensure safe and secure Undas 2017.
PROCOR has deployed 2,052 cops in the 757 cemeteries, churches, transport terminals, and other places of engagement in the region to provide assistance along highways and major thoroughfares, traffic management, and security assistance. Likewise, 2,723 Force Multipliers were tapped to provide assistance in securing the Undas 2017.
For Baguio City, 574 PNP personnel and 697 force multiplier were deployed while 342 cops and 336 force multiplier were deployed in Benguet for the duration of the observance of Undas 2017. As the need arises, 207 PNP personnel from the Regional Headquarters are placed on standby and ready to be deployed anytime.
PROCOR is appealing to the public to support and cooperate with our policemen and comply with all security protocols so as to ensure security especially in cemeteries and other memorial gardens for their safety and were likewise encouraged not to bring prohibited items such as deadly weapons, liquor and loud speakers because this will all be confiscated at the entrance and report any suspicious looking people and activities to the police.
