Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police arrested four drug suspects including a minor during a buy bust operation conducted by the Police and Drug Enforcement Units, while over Nine Hundred Thousand worth of marijuana plants were uprooted and burned onsite during a one day marijuana eradication.
Joint operatives of La Trinidad police and members of the Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Dave Arquero Bugarin A.K.A. Bangkay, 37, vegetable porter, in his residence at Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet while Jayson Nazareno Salvador A.K.A. Boy, 23, vegetable retailer and listed as Street Level Individual, was collared in his residence at Palmaville, Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet. Both were separately arrested in the afternoon of January 24, 2020.
One (1) heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu one (1) touchscreen Huawei and Php1,000.00 buy-bust money were recovered and seized from Bugarin’s possession, while four (4) sachets of suspected shabu, Php1,000 cash money, Php1,000.00 boodle money, and one (1) Cherry Mobile touch screen cellular phone were seized and confiscated from Salvador.
In a progress report, both Bugarin and Salvador were denied the benefit to post their bail for violation of Section 5 or trading of illegal drugs. However, for other provision violated, Bugarin has a recommended bailbond of Php 120,000.00 while Salvador has a recommended bailbond of Php 2,000.00.
Other suspects named Junjun Battung Vital, 18, self -employed and a 17 year old minor student, both residents of San Ramon, Mallig, Isabela were also apprehended at Buyucan, Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga in the afternoon of January 25, 2020. Seized from their possessions were one (1) plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, sando bag containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and stalks, and Honda RS 150 motorcycle, without plate number.
Moreover, a total of Php956,200.00 worth of marijuana plants was eradicated in Barangay Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet on January 24, 2020.
Joint personnel of Kibungan MPS, PIB, PDEU and PDEA-CAR discovered three marijuana plantation sites at SO Dalipey and SO Culiang, Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet with a land area of 1,020 square meters cultivated with an aggregate of 4,905 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants. (PROCOR RPIO)
Donning of New Rank and awarding of 13 PNP personnel
Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – Chief RPRMD of Police Regional Office Cordillera was promoted to the next higher rank, while 13 PNP personnel were awarded this morning, during the Regular Monday Flag Raising Ceremony cum Donning of Ranks at Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has approved the promotion of Police Colonel Peter M Tagtag, Jr pursuant to GO Number NHQ0GO-PR-2020-229, dated January 22, 2020. Relative hereto, PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN Israel Ephraim T Dickson administered the oath taking and donning of ranks, assisted by other members of the Command Group and family of the promotee.
Another highlight of the ceremony was the awarding of Medals to 13 deserving PNP personnel for contributing significant accomplishments that led in the attainment of the mission and vision of PROCOR.
Awardees of Medalya ng Kasanayan were: PCOL David K Peredo, Jr; PCOL Davy Vicente Limmong; PLTCOL Joselito Borja; PCPT Jeremiah Benito; PCMS Fernando Ngayawon; and PSMS Evangeline Ternola.
PCOL Peredo and PSMS Ternolla were awarded for the successful implementation of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. PLAN 2030 in PROCOR. While PCOL Limmong and PLTCOL Borja were given the same award for the successful conduct of Orientation Seminar for Regional Headquarters Squad Leaders and Value Life Coaches in relation to the Revitalized Internal Cleansing Program of the PNP. Likewise, PCPT Benito and PCMS Ngayawon received the same for preparing the documents in the titling of Sallapadan and Licuan-Baay MPS.
Furthermore, awardees of Medalya Papuri were PLTCOL Fernando Botangen, PMAJ Oliver Panabang, PMAJ James Acod, PLT Marjorie Tadeo, PEMS David Benson, PEMS Anna Liza Cortez, and PCMS Cliff Cadena.
PLTCOL Botangen and PCMS Cadena were awarded for the successful conduct of gift giving of school and sports supplies benefiting San Juan Central School and St John High School; PLT Tadeo and PEMS Cortes received the same for the significant contribution in the delivery of Finance Service; while, PMAJ Acod was also awarded for the successful arrest of a high value Individual.
