CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad Benguet: A total of 186 wanted persons including 30 Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWP) are now in jail after being arrested in separate manhunt operations conducted by the operatives of Police Regional Office Cordillera for the month of January this year.

“The series of operations which were conducted regionwide to arrest all wanted criminals charged for various offenses is in adherence to the marching orders of the CPNP to intensify, reinvigorate and focus on the anti-criminality drive and anti-insurgency efforts of the PNP”, the newly installed Regional Director PBGen R’win SA Pagkalinawan said.

Of the 186 wanted persons neutralized, 30 individuals were listed in the Top 10 most wanted persons. One is listed in the regional level’s TMW; 9 in the provincial level and 20 in the municipal level, while 156 fall under the category of other wanted persons .

Leading the list of arrested persons is Cordillera’s number 8 Top Most Wanted Person (TMWP) identified as Jheyrald Cayas Genove. He was finally captured in Lower Wangal, La Trinidad, Benguet in the morning of January 24, 2020 for the crime of two counts of Rape with no bail recommended.

Another notable achievement is the arrest of nine (9) other TMWP in the Provincial level.

Abra’s no. 6 TMWP identified as Alfredo L Tampoy Sr. was nabbed at Brgy. Bao-yan, Boliney, Abra on January 26, 2020 for two counts of Acts of Lasciviousness with a recommended bailbond of P180,000.00.

In Apayao, the no. 5 TMWP recognized as Aljhmar Bawat Dam-at, 25, farmer, and presently residing at Aga, Pudtol, Apayao was held for the crime of Rape while the no. 8 TMWP Emerson Pante Calapati, 32, carpenter, and a resident of Brgy. Gulpeng, Pinili, Ilocos Norte was caught for the crime of Double Frustrated Homicide. Both offenders were arrested in their respective residences on January 13, 2020 with no bail recommended.

In Benguet, the listed number 8 TMWP lady suspect known as Judilyn P. Daclis, 37, and a residence of KM 16 Ambassador, Tublay, Benguet was caught in Acop, Caponga, Tublay, Benguet on January 11, 2020 while Arjay Olita Daguio, 28, laborer, listed as no. 10 TMWP was seized in his residence in Lengaoan, Buguias, Benguet on January 14, 2020. Daclis was accused for the crime of Estafa with no bail recommended while Daguio was charged for Violation of Section 10 of RA 7610 with a recommended bailbond of Php200,000.00.

In Ifugao, Jose Pugong Y Buhe, 53, no. 1 TMWP, caretaker of Globe Cell Site at Ap-apid, Tinoc, Ifugao was arrested in barangay Ap-apid, Tinoc, Ifugao on January 23, 2020 while Roy Wallat Gopeng, a.k.a “Chong-Chonglon”, 43, laborer, and a resident of Sitio Kha’chan, Barangay Buninan, Mayoyao, Ifugao was apprehended in Balangbang, Mayoyao, Ifugao on January 28, 2020. Pugong was arrested for the crime of Murder with no bail recommended while Gopeng was held for the crime of Frustrated Murder with recommended bail of Php200,000.00.

Finally, the two most wanted persons of Kalinga identified as Marcial C Pallat, no. 1 most wanted person charged for the crime of Rape was captured in Brgy. Bantay, Tabuk City, Kalinga while Freddie B Sangab, no. 8 TMWP was apprehended for Attempted Rape in Pinococ, Pinukpuk, Kalinga. Both were arrested on January 15, 2020. However, Pallat has no bail recommended while Sangab has a recommended bailbond of Php120,000.00.

The highest performing office is Baguio City Police Office with 97 arrests followed by Benguet PPO with 31; Abra PPO- 19; Kalinga PPO- 18; Ifugao PPO- 12; Apayao-5; and the least which is Mountain Province PPO recorded 4 arrests.
