CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Just over the weekend, operatives of Benguet PPO has uprooted and destructed a more or less 700,000 worth of fully grown marijuana plants in the hinterlands of Bakun, Benguet.

Now, once again, PROCOR proved its determination to eradicate marijuana plantations in the region, following the destruction of more than 2.2 Million worth of marijuana plants in the mountainous part of Kibungan, Benguet province on November 24, 2020.

More than 11,000 fully-grown marijuana plants with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of Php 2,206,000.00 were discovered in two neighboring barangays in Kibungan, Benguet. Said marijuana plants were discovered in three plantation sites with a total land area of 2,000 square meters.

In Sitio Basi, Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet,  more or less 5,000 marijuana plants cultivated in a 500 square meters communal land was uprooted by the combined operatives of Kibungan MPS, Intelligence Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of Benguet Provincial Police Office and PDEA-CAR. Said plants has an assessed value of 1 million pesos worth.

While in Sitio Legab and Botbot, both in Barangay Kayapa, Kibungan, Benguet, an aggregate of  more than 6,000 marijuana plants planted in a 1,500 square meters land area was destroyed by the personnel of Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC). Said plants has an estimated value of Php 1,206,000.00.

All uprooted marijuana plants were burned on site, while only samples were brought by the operatives for evidentiary purposes. (PROCOR RPIO)
