CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Police Regional Office Cordillera, warmly welcomes PMGEN FERDINAND B DAWAY, The Director of Integrated Police Operations – Northern Luzon (TDIPO-NL) and PBGEN STERLING RAYMUND P BLANCO, Deputy DIPO-NL during their Command Visit at PROCOR Regional Headquarters in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet on January 12, 2021.
During the Distinguished Visitors Program hosted by PROCOR Regional Director PBGEN R’WIN S PAGKALINAWAN, PMGEN DAWAY and PBGEN STERLING graced the event as Guests of Honor and Speakers.
As part of the program, six Cordillera Police Officers were awarded for their notable accomplishments in conducting police operations. Four were awarded with Medalya ng Kagalingan (PNP Medal of Merit) and two were awarded with Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal).
From Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB), PCpl Reden D Laguiwed and PCpl Carlo D Degay were awarded with Medalya ng Kagalingan for their relentless efforts that resulted in the surrender of Zenia Langbayan, CTG member, and the turn-over of one Japanese Arisaka Type 38 bolt action rifle and one Caliber 38 revolver with live ammunitions in Bauko, Mountain Province.
Moreover, Medalya ng Kasanayan was awarded to PCPT RONALDO O SACMAR and PSSg Dwight Alexis B Supsupin for the successful conduct of the “Badang Kabuhayan Project”, a program initiated by RMFB 15 which aims to promote sustainable livelihood for the targeted families affected by the pandemic at Ekip, Bokod, Benguet.
From Benguet Provincial Police Office, PLT MARY JOYCE P GAYADEN and PMSg Moises D Cadap received Medalya ng Kagalingan for the successful marijuana eradication operation that resulted in the destruction of 58,230 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants and 2,500 marijuana seedlings with estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of Php 11,846,000.00 at Barangay Tacadang, Kibungan Benguet and Barangay Poblacion and Kayapa, both in Bakun, Benguet.
In his speech, PMGEN DAWAY imparted the “ABC of Life,” a principle to guide police officers in their day to day lives. A for adherence to all directives, laws, and statutes; B for bringing back the basics in the organization; and C for commitment and dedication to performing duties and responsibilities.
In a statement, PBGEN BLANCO commended the readiness of PROCOR cops to respond to any hostile situations and also reminded police officers to assure the sustainability of their commitment and dedication to selflessly serve and protect the people of Cordillera. (PROCOR RPIO)
