CAMP MAJOR BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – In celebration of the 123rd Independence Day, Police Regional Office Cordillera hosted a Flag Raising ceremony in a simple program held at the Masigasig Grandstand in Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet.
This year’s Independence Day was celebrated with the theme: “Kalayaan 2021: Diwa ng Kalayaan sa Pagkakaisa at Paghilom ng Bayan.”
The event was graced by The Director of Comptrollership (TCD) of the PNP, PMGEN RODOLFO S AZURIN, JR., as guest of honor and speaker. Together with the men and women of PROCOR, they witnessed the ceremonial raising of the Philippine flag to commemorate the day when the Philippine flag was first flown on June 12, 1898 and to celebrate the 123 years declaration of Philippine independence.
As part of the program, PMGEN AZURIN along with the Command Group took part in the ceremonial releasing of doves, while the men and women of PROCOR simultaneously waived their Philippine flags to symbolize the celebration of our freedom.
In the Independence Day message of the Chief PNP, PGEN GUILLERMO T ELEAZAR, delivered by PMGEN AZURIN, he stated that the Philippine flag should serve as our drive as we heal as one nation and as we continue to win the battle against COVID-19 pandemic, illegal drugs, crime, corruption, poverty, and terrorism. “Let it stand as an unyielding instrument of unity that binds the Filipino people.
