PROCOR cops together with partner agencies and other advocacy groups brought their services closer to the community by conducting various #BARANGAYanihan outreach activities in Abra, Apayao, and Ifugao.
In Abra, police officers of the 2nd Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Isidro, San Isidro Municipal Police Station (MPS), and the Philippine Army, conducted a gift-giving activity in Brgy Tangbao, San Isidro.
During the activity, a total of 70 kindergarten and elementary learners were given school supplies while 70 senior citizens were given assorted groceries. Also, free haircut services were provided to the community.
Meanwhile, in Apayao, police officers of Luna MPS together with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Rural Health Unit (RHU), and Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD) Luna conducted an outreach activity in Brgy Marag, Luna.
The services provided during the activity were: distribution of Emergency Kits to more or less 40 individuals, and conduct of lectures regarding RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act), RA 9344 (Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006), COVID-19 Vaccination, and “Iwas Paputok.”
Further, in Ifugao, police officers of Lamut Municipal Police Station (MPS), in collaboration with Lamut BFP, Municipal Agricultural Office (MAO), Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) members, LGU of Lamut, and other stakeholders, conducted a gift-giving activity in Brgy Pieza, Lamut.
As their early Christmas gift to the community, Lamut cops gave gifts and snacks to a total of 20 Day Care pupils of Pieza Elementary School. Moreover, they also distributed 30 food packs containing assorted groceries and basic commodities to selected families in the barangay.
These outreach activities are all part of the continuous conduct of the “Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan towards National Recovery” all over the Cordillera region by PROCOR cops in partnership with other government agencies. (PROCOR-PIO)
